FHT 1374 Radioactivity Monitor for Cranes

  • grapple with detectorA highly sensitive radiation detector mounted near the grab of the crane continuously monitors the radioactivity within its range.

  • A type tested Radiameter FH 40 G-L measures the gamma doserate and dose inside the operator's cabin. If radiation is detected an acoustical and optical alarm is released.
  • The big plastic Scintillation detector is 20.000 times more sensitive than a typical Geiger Counter.
The sensitive volume is 45 times bigger than a typical 3"x3" NaI scintillation crystal detector
  • Unique NBR technology, approved by TÜV, is used to suppress  natural background fluctuations and to  discriminate between NORM and artificial radiation sources
  • Using the experience and know-how of more than 300 installations of radiation monitors FHT1388  for trucks and trains as well as mobile units for Civil Defence, customs officers, nuclear power plants, ...

  • DetectorThe detector, protected by a light weight but yet rugged plastic housing, is usually mounted with shock absorbing pads easily to the boom of the crane requiring just one cable to the operator's cabin (RF data transmission available on request)
